My Rug Rat left today--Grandma Big Sad! He did pick up all his cars and tangrams before he left, and he left my house with two more of the stuffed animals that have been collecting dust for the past 17 or so years. I don't expect the tidiness to last however since both Rob and Greg are home this week. But for now it's much quieter since Rob went to the movies with friends and Greg went into town to hang out with friends. Rob is home this week for Spring Break and Greg is home until the 23rd for Quarter Break. I'm thrilled they are home, but I think Gerry is less enthusiastic. He's gotten used to our empty nest and doesn't do so well with the chaos created by two year olds and twenty-something year olds (alright, Greg isn't quite twenty, but you know what I mean).
It was so nice having Karen and Clay here; I can hardly wait for them to move back here (well, Columbus, but that's so much closer than Pennsylvania)!
Gerry and I went to see one of his brothers in West Virginia this weekend. We spent the night in a hotel as his brother's house is just slightly bigger than our family room (granted, it's a huge family room, but still...). We missed the Radisson (the Waterfront Place is a subsidary of the Radisson so there was no familiar name on the hotel) so we ended up spending a considerable amount less for our hotel room than we might have. Unfortunately, they only had a few rooms to choose from since the Lions Club was having a convention there. Gerry told me we would be spending the night in two separate twin beds, but I'm happy to say he was somewhat incorrect...there were two full-sized beds. That was all they had in the non-smoking section, though, so we took it. I think Gerry was just as happy to have a bed all to himself though, as I've been tossing and turning a lot lately. We then took his mom to the airport in Pittsburgh so she could fly back to Missouri. Halfway to the airport we found out that her ride was not going to be able to pick her up at the airport in Kansas City (still two hours from her home, but at least in the correct state). Other arrangements were being made, but they involved her spending another night away from home (not something she was thrilled with since she's already been away for a month). We left her at the airport with the departure information showing her flight to be leaving on time. Imagine our surprise when she called two hours later to say that her flight hadn't left yet and wouldn't for at least another half hour. It's not a good feeling to know you've left an 83 year old woman stranded in a strange airport. She called this morning to let us know she made it home. I bet she is thrilled to be back in familiar surroundings.

College boys, hands down. Mommies can make their 2-year-olds clean up after themselves, it's harder with the big guys! Missing you guys already and can't wait to be back permanently soon!
